Case study Brandure
Brand drift, caught before the franchise renewal does
Every business running through franchises hits the same quiet risk. Logos go out of date, storefronts drift from the guidelines, social channels stop matching the master kit. and headquarters finds out when a customer or an auditor forces the issue. We built Brandure as our own product because no lightweight system existed to define, distribute, and score what on-brand means.

Brandure
The problem
Compliance tooling came in two useless sizes.
Generic checklist apps that know nothing about hierarchy or scoring, or enterprise GRC suites priced and complicated for the Fortune 500.
✓No central way for HQ to define what on-brand means ✓Audits distributed by email and spreadsheet ✓Spot checks done in person, inconsistently ✓No weighted scoring, so a broken sign counted like a typo ✓No comparable record across offices or over time ✓Evidence limited to somebody ticking a box
The hard design problems
✓Rubrics change quarterly, but completed audits must keep scoring correctly forever ✓Franchise groups need genuinely separate data on one shared codebase ✓One scoring formula has to power results, dashboards, and the leaderboard identically ✓Permissions must work at org level and single-office level
Our approach
Separate the editable design of an audit from the frozen record of one performed
That single architectural decision is what makes the rest of the system trustworthy. historical compliance data can never be silently rewritten by a later rubric edit.
✓Audit templates with ordered sections, typed questions, max scores, and weights ✓Dispatch snapshots the live template into a frozen instance per office ✓Office staff respond with answers, comments, and photo evidence ✓Reviewer scoring as a deliberate second pass, keeping human judgement in the loop ✓Weighted scoring implemented once as a PostgreSQL routine and called everywhere ✓Human-readable IDs generated through an atomic per-organisation sequence
Core capabilities
What it does now
Live in production, running the full audit lifecycle end to end.
✓Reusable, versioned rubrics linked to brand guidelines ✓Fleet-wide dispatch. every office in one action ✓Photo and document evidence per response, stored in S3 ✓Reviewer scoring with locking for concurrent reviews ✓Compliance leaderboard from the same scoring engine ✓Role-based access scoped to an org or a single office
